Refund Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Our Commitment: We stand behind the quality of our work. If we fail to deliver as agreed in your Statement of Work, we will make it right — through revision, partial refund, or full refund depending on the situation.
1. General Refund Philosophy
DAAT Studio delivers creative and technical services that involve significant upfront time, expertise, and resource allocation. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both parties — protecting clients from non-delivery while accounting for the irreversible nature of time and creative labour already invested.
2. Advance / Deposit Payments
- All advance/deposit payments are non-refundable once project kick-off has occurred and work has commenced.
- If DAAT Studio cancels a project before kick-off (for any reason), the full advance is refunded within 7 business days.
- If a client cancels before kick-off but after the project has been scheduled and resources allocated, 50% of the advance may be retained as a cancellation fee.
3. Service-Specific Policies
Web Development & Engineering
- Milestone payments for completed and approved milestones are non-refundable.
- If we fail to deliver a milestone within the agreed timeline (excluding delays caused by client), you may request a 25% discount on that milestone's fee.
- If the project is abandoned by DAAT Studio after partial completion, a pro-rated refund for uncompleted work will be issued within 14 business days.
SEO & Digital Marketing
- SEO and digital marketing are ongoing services — monthly retainer fees are non-refundable once the calendar month has begun.
- Unused prepaid months may be refunded upon 30 days' cancellation notice, minus any work already executed in the cancellation month.
- Ad spend amounts paid directly to platforms (Google, Meta) are governed by those platforms' own refund policies and cannot be refunded by DAAT Studio.
Video & Photo Editing
- Two rounds of revisions are included in all video/photo editing packages.
- If deliverables do not meet the brief as agreed, we will revise them at no additional cost.
- Refunds for creative work are not issued once the first draft has been delivered and client feedback provided.
- If no acceptable deliverable can be produced after 3 revision rounds, a 50% refund may be considered at our discretion.
Education Programmes
- Full refund if cancellation is requested within 48 hours of enrolment, before the first session begins.
- 50% refund if cancellation is requested before the 3rd session.
- No refund after the 3rd session or once programme materials have been accessed.
- In the event DAAT Studio cancels a programme, all enrolled students receive a full refund within 7 business days.
4. SaaS Products
- Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period.
- Annual subscriptions may receive a pro-rated refund for unused complete months, upon written request within 30 days of subscription start.
- Technical issues preventing access to the product for more than 48 consecutive hours (excluding scheduled maintenance) may qualify for a pro-rated credit.
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following are explicitly non-refundable under all circumstances:
- Third-party software licences, stock assets, or platform fees purchased on the client's behalf.
- Domain registration and hosting fees paid to external providers.
- Advance deposits after project kick-off.
- Milestone payments for completed and approved work.
- Rush or expedited delivery fees.
6. How to Request a Refund
- Email refunds@daatservices.in with your project name, invoice number, and reason for the refund request.
- Our team will acknowledge your request within 2 business days.
- We will review your request and respond with our decision within 7 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10–14 business days (bank transfer timelines may vary).
7. Disputes
If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, you may escalate the matter to our management team at support@daatservices.in. All disputes will be handled as per our Terms of Service — through good-faith negotiation, followed by arbitration in accordance with Indian law.
